We are located in a beautiful cove on High Lake at the headwaters of the Manitowish River on the sub-continental divide. Many backwoods lakes are only minutes away. 

High Lake is one of a chain of lakes, all of which abound with Musky, Walleye, Bass and Pan Fish. If you haven't tangled with a mighty musky, a thrilling experience awaits you. The relaxation of pan fishing or a boat ride to see the wildlife truly restores the spirit.

Whether your pleasure is fishing, swimming, boating, hiking, or just laying back in a comfortable chair and enjoying the Northwoods beauty, we think you'll find it here. If you feel like an occasional night out, there are numerous excellent dining places.

Birchwood Cove Resort has 3 Immaculate Cabins and One House to rent. All cabins are carpeted, paneled, and have picture windows with beautiful views of High Lake.  Cabins 1 & 4 have screened porches.  Cabin 6 has a large deck.  The kitchens are fully equipped and bathrooms have showers.  Futons/sofa beds extend the use of each cabin and bed linens are included.

Included in the rental: Canoe, Lawn Furniture, Picnic Tables, Weber Grills, Freezer Storage, and a lighted fish cleaning house with running water.  For the children, we have a sandy beach with toys and swings.  Boats do not come with the cabins but are available from Boulder Marine Center in Boulder Junction- 715-385-2177 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            715-385-2177      end_of_the_skype_highlighting or Schauss Woodworking in Boulder Junction - 715-385-2434 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            715-385-2434      end_of_the_skype_highlighting.

 Birchwood Cove Resort is located: 8 miles Northeast of Boulder Junction, Wisconsin on County Trunk "B" 17 miles West of Land O' Lakes, Wisconsin on County Trunk "B" 25 miles Northeast of Minocqua.

How to get to Birchwood Cove Resort: Follow U.S. 51 approximately 6 miles north of Minocqua/Woodruff. Turn right on County Trunk "M", 5 miles north of  Boulder Junction, turn right on County Trunk "B" 3 1/2 miles to Birchwood Cove Resort. (High Lake Road is just past the boat launching area.)
